Individual Psychotherapy
Everyone, at some point in our lives, is faced with situations that we find difficult to manage (loss, mourning, divorce, sudden changes). To cope, we need to process our experiences so as to understand the deeper causes of our symptoms (anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, depression).
Psychotherapy is a process that allows the individual to cope with the difficulties he or she encounters and aims to gain a better understanding of himself and others. It is also about setting personal goals for desirable change and achieving a satisfactory level of functionality, autonomy and balance.
This is achieved through the therapeutic relationship with a qualified professional who, through his knowledge and emotional presence, accompanies the individual on the journey.
Individual sessions last 50 minutes and are usually done on a weekly basis for a time that is co-decided with the therapist taking into account the individual’s request and needs. All appointments are governed by medical confidentiality.
Topics one can work on are:
- Anxiety – Phobias – Panic Attack
- Emotional Disorders (Depression, Bipolar Disorder)
- Psychosomatic Issues
- Interpersonal problems
- Managing Traumatic Experiences (Loss – Mourning – Divorce)
- Strengthening self-esteem
- Personal development and self-awareness
