Parent Counseling

Parents often face difficulties with their children. In these cases they may turn to a specialist for guidance.

Parent counseling aims to balance the relationship between parents and their children, by providing practical solutions to everyday life problems.

At the same time, it aims to educate parents on how to deal with the child without jeopardizing the dignity of either the child or the parent. It also provides those “tools” that will help parents to be more effective in the parenting role.

Parent counseling addresses parents of all ages, and the most common requests are:

  • Child anxiety
  • Emotional problems
  • Setting boundaries
  • Effective discipline techniques
  • Cultivating responsibility
  • Encourage motivation
  • Behavior problems at home or school
  • Dealing with jealousy between siblings
  • Mourning, divorce, loss
  • Enhancing self-esteem

Sessions vary based on the needs of the family. They can be carried out in parallel with the individual treatment of the child, and only with parents or the parent/guardian.
